Fun with odds and ends.

One (rather literal) necessity of a chaos army are chaos spawn, those unmentionable horrors that give you an excuse to throw whatever you have in your bitz-box at a lump of green stuff and call it a day.

Theyre an iconic part of the chaos arsenal, and despite being rather sub-par on the tabletop the eye of the gods chart makes having a couple on hand rather important. Despite this, to my moderate shame (in part at not simply making some) I have never had any.

But, while taking a break from painting The Hexed (which are still in progress worry not) to assemble some recently arrived models (which I will most definetly show off at a later date) I decided to cobble together some custom spawn for my army.

Spawn 1: "Headbutt".
Ironically he was the last spawn I made, his "head" is the Minotaur skull from the citadel skull kit, with the visage augmented with a whole bunch more skulls attached where his limbs should be.

Spawn 2: "Horse face".
Im quite please with how this one turned out. His face comes from the citadel skull kit while the two faces are from the crypt horrors that served as the basis for all of these spawns. The scything talons are from the putrid blight kings kit.

Spawn 3: "Shaman".
Probably the most cohesive of the spawn, if I had an additional arm that looked right I honestly wouldnt be beyond using this for a demon prince or something. The beastman skull meshes well with the skeletal body and the arm end I had lying about from the weirdnob Shaman is the right size. Scything Talons from the tyranid warrior kit help give him the deformed and chaotic look spawn should have.

Overall I doubt ill be fielding these by themselves, spawn arent very good and I have the rare slot locked down with more interesting stuff. But should any champion get (un)lucky enough these shall be here, ready to flail around randomly with furious vengeance and vengeful fury.
