The herald of darkness painted.

For painting Murghur I wanted to emphasize his tainted and corrupted nature, the skin was a basecoat of white layered with various shades of pink, purple and black glaze.

His cloak was painted in a similar scheme to his masters armor, a 1:1 mixture of stegadon scale green and black glazed on, with a gaze of stegadon scale green applied pure towards the edges and then finally some teclis blue for the edges. To break up the large swathes of cloth I painted on some various evil chaos patterns onto it (or at least tried, my freehand is subpar to put it lightly).

His axe was first basecoated with warplock bronze, and after a generous slathering of nuln oil it had some leadbelcher drybrushed on. The handle was agrax earthsade and nuln oil over a leadbelcher basecoat. When it was done I applied some blood for the blood god to the axe edge, give the model some visual flair (in contrast to its generally cold colors).

The metal gubbinz on his coat were warplock bronze washed with nuln oil (same as the axe), they then had some typhus corrosion applied to them before a light drybrushing of leadbelcher.

The bone (such as his horns and various skulls) were first painted with rhinox hide before having ushabti bone painted on top, washed with agrax earthshade and then finally highlighted with another later of ushabti bone..

The fur was painted white before having a heavy layer of black glaze applied on top.

The base was my first use of Mordant Earth, so its rather plain.

All in all im fairly happy with how the model turned out.
