White Angus Beef

Having painted the minotaur general I was left with a hankering for more, and soon enough I was painting yet another one of Zealot Miniatures gorgeous minotaurs.








For the color scheme I decided to try and go for a white skinned look, washing a white primer with layers of purple and then slowly building it back up to white. This was another attempt at the scheme I tried with the general (it didnt exactly turn out as expected this time either)




The pale skin and orangeish hair made me think of your stereotypical scottish barbarian, so I decided to add some warpaint to add to the effect.

The champion for my chaos knight regiment (The Hexed) is finished. Unlike the other riders he has a lance and horns to give him some verticality and help him stand out among his peers. In addition I decided to play with the colors on the details, since with such a uniform armor scheme its easy for models to end up looking samey. As such his horse is a brown (in contrast to the previous riders dark grey/black charger) and the reins are a beige/white with some blood stains on) Overall I am fairly happy with how the model turned out, and I look forwards to having the full regiment painted up and assembled in formation,

Scheduling as promised. Promise!

 Coursework is killing me. But I managed to get some work done on my putrid blight kings. The pale white/blue skin makes a great contrast to their rusty dark brown armor, and the purple of the boils should make for a nice spot contrast. Theyre also fairly easy to paint! The first model I painted for the unit, you can spot the wet-pallete in the backgroud, neat piece of gear that. And the unit as a whole. Putrid Blight kings have a very distinct look, and they should contrast nicely with the more armored chaos warriors and knights.

Adaptation.

Well, I need stronger magnets. Consider that lesson learned. My clever solution having failed I was forced to actually commit to a load-out for the model. And so I present the finished (or at least assembled) article. To honor the themes of the army I opted for the shield arm and skeletal helm, which combined with the rest of the pieces of armor should help tie the model to the rest of the army, but in order for the model to stand out from the crowd I decided to leave his chest and back bare, this mighty demon prince is proud of his formidable musculature! (It also gives me the chance to mess around with some demonic flesh, something which should be rather refreshing after all the armor im going to have to paint). But this talk is for the day this titan of a model will have to be painted, a day I both dread and anticipate.
